Plastic packaging for ground coffee, coffee beans and coffee pads

A majority of bags of caffee are composed of aluminium and an inner plastic layer. These bags belong in the residual waste. They cannot be recycled: the plastic and aluminium layers cannot be separated at the sorting centre. 

More and more coffee bags on the market are made of one single material and therefore recyclable. This is usually also stated on the packaging. These pouches can be sorted as PMD.
