Plastic pots and tubs for foodstuffs

Plastic pots, dishes and tubs used for foodstuffs such as fruits, jam, cheese spread, butter, all kinds of other sandwich spreads are classed as household plastic packaging (the P in PMD) and, when empty, they belong in the PMD bag. Is the dish or tub also sealed with a layer of aluminium foil? Remove this first, then throw it in the PMD bag as well.
