Styrofoam
e.g. around electrical appliances
Recycling park
In order to transport electrical appliances safely (such as televisions, washing machines, etc.), they are often packaged with polystyrene. The type of foam often used is called EPS (expanded polystyrene); often referred to as ‘isomo’ in Belgium. You can recognise this polystyrene by its spherical structure. Breaking/cutting/snapping the polystyrene foam releases lots of tiny balls. This is a separate waste stream, which means you need to take it to the recycling centre. You must not dispose of this in the PMD bag.
